Delhi University's Vandalism Probe Hindered by Lack of CCTV Cameras

By Vishu Adhana - Delhi University has established a committee to investigate the recent vandalism at the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) office. The probe is facing a significant hurdle due to the absence of CCTV cameras on the premises.
Proctor Rajni Abbi, who chairs the committee, informed ANI that they would have to depend on witness testimonies, security guards' accounts, and tangible evidence to detail the incident. Abbi highlighted the urgent need for installing cameras, which will be included in their report.
The vandalism at the DUSU office occurred on the night of July 13-14, with the committee swiftly formed to investigate. Members include Professor Rajni Abbi, Professor Ranjan Kumar Tripathi, Professor Surender Kumar, and Professor Geeta Sahare. As tensions rise, the investigation aims to clarify circumstances and address issues within student governance.
