India Launches Groundbreaking Space Security Exercise
India has initiated 'Antariksha Abhyas – 2024', a landmark exercise to address growing threats and secure its strategic objectives in space. Spearheaded by the Defence Space Agency, the exercise involves collaboration with ISRO, DRDO, and military branches, focusing on fostering innovation and identifying vulnerabilities in space-based operations.

India has embarked on a pioneering space security initiative with the launch of 'Antariksha Abhyas – 2024'. Spearheaded by the Defence Space Agency, the exercise spans from November 11-13 and aims to navigate the complexities of safeguarding space-based assets amid escalating threats.
Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan underscored space as a 'critical enabler' of the nation's defence strategy, urging collaboration with ISRO, DRDO, and academia to cultivate innovation and cutting-edge technologies. The exercise is designed to secure national interests and integrate India's space capabilities in military operations.
The event will feature participants from various military branches and specialist units, including Defence Cyber Agency and Defence Intelligence Agency. Representatives from ISRO and DRDO are also involved, highlighting a comprehensive effort to understand and address operational dependencies and vulnerabilities in space services.
