During the 69th Kannada Rajyotsava event, Shivakumar highlighted the pride in the 50-year-old state's identity, equating the land to heaven and the language to divinity, with sacred waters like Cauvery held in high esteem.

He urged all institutions to commemorate the occasion as a tribute to Karnataka's diverse culture, emphasizing the global efforts of Kannadigas to promote their language and cultural richness.
