On the festive occasion of Diwali, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended warm greetings to the citizens of the state, reiterating his administration's pledge to advance Odisha's progress. In an engaging move, Majhi, alongside his wife Priyanka Marandi, stepped into Bhubaneswar's vibrant Unit-1 market to purchase traditional 'diyas' and other puja items.
The chief minister's presence in the bustling market drew considerable public attention as numerous residents gathered to catch a glimpse of him amidst their Diwali shopping routine. Shopkeeper Tribeni Sahu expressed delight over Majhi buying goods worth Rs 2,000 from her stall, which boosted sales significantly after his departure.
Majhi's impromptu market visit marked a distinctive approach as noted by another vendor, Pappu, who expressed collective joy among stall owners at the Chief Minister's presence. Following his visit, Majhi flew to Keonjhar for a two-day stay, set to attend a family gathering at Raikala village.
