Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated Diwali with a visit to Ayodhya's new Ram temple, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The Chief Minister also paid respects at the Hanuman Garhi temple, while extending festive greetings to the state.
Adityanath described this Diwali as unprecedented, with Ram Lalla now enshrined after 500 years. The state is reviving Ayodhya's historical traditions with a 'Deepotsav' festival to showcase the region's cultural grandeur to the world.
Former Chief Minister Mayawati also shared Diwali wishes via social media, extending greetings for Bhai Dooj and Chhath Puja.
