In a recent controversy, Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui has voiced his disapproval of a reimagined version of a classic song by the revered folk singer Reshma, used in the upcoming film 'Do Patti.'
Siddiqui claims that the newly reinterpreted track, 'Akhiyaan De Kol,' a brisk dance number, compromises the integrity of Reshma's original classic, 'Akhiyan Nu Rehan De.'
Critics agree with Siddiqui's perspective as they call for the preservation of Reshma's musical legacy rather than reducing her art to a mere commercial piece. The film, featuring a song composed by Tanishk Bagchi and lyrics by Kausar Munir, will be streaming on Netflix from October 25.
