Tensions escalated as BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla censured the Congress Party for prematurely celebrating their apparent success in Haryana, before subsequently challenging the Election Commission (EC) over suspected voter data discrepancies.
Congress representative Pawan Khera criticized the EC, alleging a mismatch between the number of vote count rounds shown and those actually tallied. Khera accused the EC of influencing the local administration through delayed data updates while contrasting the situation with timely data provided in Jammu & Kashmir.
Senior Congress figure Jairam Ramesh echoed these concerns, hinting at potential political pressure tactics similar to those alleged during the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, contrary to exit polls suggesting a Congress win, the BJP appears poised for a triumphant assembly election victory.
