P V Anvar, the dissident MLA, has become a focal point in the Kerala Assembly after distancing himself from the ruling CPI(M). The ruling party decided to sever ties following Anvar's allegations against the LDF government and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Speaker A N Shamseer assigned Anvar a seat with the opposition, prompting the MLA to refrain from attending the session, as he has no intention of joining the opposition. Anvar requested an independent seat, away from opposition benches, and awaits a response from the Speaker.
In a politically charged atmosphere, the assembly witnessed protests and verbal exchanges, overshadowing discussions. Anvar remains firm in his stance, reiterating that assembly sessions focus more on conflicts rather than meaningful dialogue.
