Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus plans to visit the historic Dhakeswari National Temple, a revered shaktee peeth, this coming Sunday. So far, festivities have continued peacefully, assured Kajol Debnath from the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, in light of increased security measures following past incidents.
Amid the grand celebrations, Hindus across Bangladesh have protested for enhanced protection following targeted violence. In response, Ruling officials pledge stern action against those disturbing social unity. With 8% of the population observing the five-day festival, efforts towards inclusivity and peace stand prominent, supported by both secular and religious figures.
