The questioning is part of an ongoing investigation into a narcotic substance abuse case that gained prominence following the arrest of notorious gangster Om Prakash and his associates.
Bhasi's involvement surfaced after Prakash was apprehended at a luxury hotel, along with accomplices, for allegedly possessing illegal narcotics. Actor Prayaga Martin, also cited in the custody application, appeared for questioning, though her family denies her involvement.
