Himachal Pradesh Police Hosts 11th Half Marathon Against Drug Abuse

The Himachal Pradesh Police held its 11th Half Marathon on Sunday, aiming to heighten awareness about drug abuse and eliminate the illicit drug trade.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla flagged off the marathon from the Ridge, with eager participation from children, youths, senior citizens, and specially-abled individuals.
Director General of Police Dr. Atul Verma provided the governor with detailed information about the event. The governor praised the enthusiasm shown by the community in combating drug abuse and emphasized that this police initiative would effectively promote a drug-free Himachal. He urged the public to contribute to this campaign and administered an anti-drug oath to the participants. Additionally, Governor Shukla addressed peaceful protests within the state, affirming citizens' rights to speak without disrupting public order.
