Airlines operating in West Bengal are tapping into regional culture for Durga Puja with creative tail art on their aircraft. Air India Express revealed a Boeing 737-8 adorned with Jamdani, a traditional Bengali pattern, at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, emphasizing its cultural significance in celebrations and weddings.
In a cultural tribute, Air India Express employees, dressed in traditional Jamdani attire, greeted the new aircraft, showcasing the airline's commitment to regional tradition. The aircraft, with registration VT-BXG, operated on the Kolkata-Jaipur route, while another, registered VT-BXU, featured a vibrant Kantha design.
Meanwhile, Akasa Air's Café Akasa launched its Dussehra special meal, underscoring festive flavors with dishes like Hinger Dal Kochuri and Kaju Fulkopi. The menu, available throughout October, can be pre-booked via Akasa Air's digital platforms, offering passengers a taste of the festive spirit on board.
