Recent strikes have intensified regional tensions, including a hit on a ship in Odesa's port and another damaging a civilian vessel.
A Russian ballistic missile attack devastated the port infrastructure of Ukraine's southern Odesa region, resulting in six deaths and eight injuries, according to Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper.
The casualties, all Ukrainian nationals, include four seriously injured, Kiper reported via Telegram. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba noted the Panamanian-flagged container ship, the Shui Spirit, also sustained damage.
Governor Kiper emphasized the enemy's intent to disrupt Ukraine's grain corridor, leading to multiple attacks on the region's ports, highlighting a recent escalation in strikes threatening both civilian lives and critical infrastructure.
