Actor Jamie Foxx is speaking out for the first time about his medical emergency in 2023, revealing it was an 'excruciating' experience to incorporate into his upcoming Netflix comedy special, 'What Had Happened Was.'

Foxx was hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia, in April 2023 following an undisclosed medical complication. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared the news on Instagram at the time, but details remained scarce post-discharge.

During the screening of the special, 'CBS Mornings' host Gayle King recorded Foxx backstage expressing the difficulty of reliving the incident over three nights of filming. Despite the challenges, Foxx left Atlanta feeling 'terrific' about the footage.
