Bangladeshi Cricket Fan Heckled and Hospitalized in Kanpur
A Bangladeshi fan named 'Tiger Robi' was heckled and allegedly assaulted during the India-Bangladesh Cricket Test match in Kanpur. The fan was taken to the hospital for dehydration but later recovered. Kanpur Police denied the assault charge and assured an investigation using CCTV footage.

A Bangladeshi fan attending the India-Bangladesh Cricket Test match was hospitalized after allegedly being heckled and assaulted inside the stadium.
The fan, known as 'Tiger Robi', was dressed as a tiger, the emblem of the Bangladesh cricket team, and was standing in the C Block balcony of the Green Park stadium where the incident occurred.
A PTI video clip showed the fan being carried out of the stadium by medical officials and security personnel. He later indicated through gestures that he was punched on his lower back.
The Kanpur Police have denied the assault charge and will examine CCTV footage for verification. The fan, who was initially suffering from dehydration, has since recovered, according to Additional Commissioner of Police Harish Chander.
This incident coincides with a protest by right-wing groups near Green Park, demanding the cancellation of the Test Match. Police have increased security in the area due to the international match.
