Controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik made headlines after meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Sharif lauded Naik's lectures, describing them as 'insightful and impactful.'
Naik, who is wanted in India for allegations of money laundering and inciting extremism, has been residing in Malaysia since 2016. The preacher was granted permanent residency by the then Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed.
In a recent social media post, Naik shared his interaction and photo with Sharif, who commended him for promoting the true message of Islam. Naik is currently on a month-long lecture tour in major Pakistani cities, marking his first visit to the country since 1992.
