On Wednesday, passengers on Delhi Metro's Blue Line experienced major delays as services were halted for over 30 minutes after a drone was discovered on the tracks between Uttam Nagar East and Uttam Nagar West stations, according to officials.

Train services were suspended from 2:50 pm to 3:29 pm, during which time the drone, identified as a small toy, was removed by CISF staff. Single-line operations were carried out between Uttam Nagar East and Janakpuri West, and Uttam Nagar West and Dwarka, while the rest of the Blue Line functioned in two separate loops.

Normal services across the entire Blue Line resumed post security clearance at 3:29 pm. Officials confirmed that no suspicious elements were found on the drone, which was subsequently taken into police custody for investigation.
