"All military personnel are accounted for and military forces were not targeted as had been reported," said the U.S. defense official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Three rockets landed near buildings used by Iraqi counter-terrorism forces, causing damage to vehicles. The incident highlights ongoing regional unrest, involving entities like Iran-backed Hezbollah and U.S. military presence.
