Veteran actor and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Shatrughan Sinha paid a hospital visit to Bollywood star and Shiv Sena leader Govinda on Tuesday. Govinda underwent emergency surgery after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with his revolver early in the morning. Sinha informed the media that Govinda is stable and recuperating, emphasizing it as an accidental incident.

Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reached out to Govinda via phone call to inquire about his health and extend his wishes for a speedy recovery. He directed hospital authorities to ensure Govinda receives the best possible care. 'I contacted Govinda and wished him a swift recovery on behalf of the state government and the public,' stated Shinde's office.

'Govinda and his family have been assured of all necessary assistance during this challenging time. We extend our best wishes and prayers for his quick recovery,' the statement continued. Govinda's injury occurred while he was putting away his licensed revolver, which accidentally discharged. In an audio message shared by Shiv Sena member Krishna Hegde, Govinda thanked the doctors and fans for their support, confirming that the bullet had been successfully removed.

Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, relayed that the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata when the incident occurred.
