Stellar Lineup Announced for MAMI Mumbai Festival 2023

The MAMI Mumbai Festival, running from October 19 to 24, will showcase over 110 films from 45 countries in more than 50 languages. Highlights include the South Asia competition with 11 feature films and Focus South Asia with 23 films. Cannes winners 'The Substance' and 'Emilia Perez' are also featured.

The MAMI Mumbai Festival is set to dazzle attendees from October 19 to 24, unveiling a diverse selection of over 110 films from more than 45 countries and spanning upwards of 50 languages.

A key highlight of the festival will be the South Asia competition, featuring 11 powerful films from independent filmmakers across South Asia and its diaspora. Among the notable entries are Sandhya Suri's 'Santosh' and Shuchi Talati's 'Girls Will Be Girls'.

The festival will also present films in the non-competitive Focus South Asia segment, showcasing 10 feature and 13 non-feature films. International highlights include Cannes winners 'The Substance' by Coralie Fargeat and 'Emilia Perez' by Jacques Audiard. MAMI will additionally screen official submissions for the 2024 Academy Awards from countries like Argentina, Canada, and Japan.
