Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Responds to Rising Ganga Levels, Urges Vigilance

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted an inspection of the rising water levels of the Ganga River at key locations in Patna and Hajipur. He urged district officials to remain alert and ready to tackle any emergencies arising due to the rising waters.
According to officials, the Ganga is flowing above the danger mark at several locations in Patna district, causing flooding in low-lying areas. The situation is similar for other rivers in the state, affecting various localities. Approximately five lives have been lost due to the inundation.
Accompanied by senior officials, Kumar visited various ghats to assess the situation. The Chief Minister's Office stated that district administrations have been directed to remain vigilant. Approximately 11 districts are experiencing flood-like conditions, and around 5.35 lakh people have been affected. Kumar also inspected a relief camp and stressed the need for adequate compensation for farmers who have suffered crop damage.
