IndianOil Pledges Support for Para Athletes After Historic Paralympics
Indian Oil Corporation has announced monthly scholarships and medical insurance for India's para athletes following their record-breaking performance at the Paris Paralympics. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), a renowned Public Sector Undertaking, has pledged to offer monthly scholarships and medical insurance to the nation's para athletes in the wake of their extraordinary performance at the recently concluded Paris Paralympics.
India's para athletes set a new milestone by clinching 29 medals, featuring seven golds, nine silvers, and 13 bronzes, thus recording the nation's best-ever performance at the Paralympics.
Pankaj Jain, secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, lauded the athletes' achievements and declared that IndianOil will further augment its support by introducing scholarships, medical insurance, and providing sports kits to the para athletes.
''This historic performance is a testament to the resilience and determination of our para athletes,'' stated V Satish Kumar, Chairman and Director (Marketing) at IndianOil, during a felicitation event.
He added, ''IndianOil is proud to have supported them on this incredible journey, and we remain committed to standing by their side as they continue to break barriers and achieve excellence.''
