At least 41 people have been killed and over 180 wounded in one of the deadliest strikes of the war in Ukraine. On Tuesday, Russian forces targeted a military institute in the central town of Poltava using two ballistic missiles, said President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The Ukrainian President announced a swift investigation into the attack, pledging accountability. He condemned the Russian forces, referring to them as 'scum,' in a post on the Telegram messaging app.
Zelenskiy reiterated his calls for more Western air defense systems and long-range weapons to better protect Ukraine, stressing the urgent need to address the daily loss of lives caused by delayed military aid.
