Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, presented a cheque for Rs one crore to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday. The actor turned politician made the contribution during a meeting at Reddy's residence.
The donation aims to aid those affected by the recent heavy rains and floods that devastated Telangana earlier this month. An official release confirmed the gesture.
The floods have claimed 29 lives and resulted in significant losses estimated at Rs 5,438 crore, according to preliminary data from the state government.
