Hamburg Sustainability Conference: Accelerating Efforts Towards 2030 SDGs

In a major event aimed at advancing global sustainability efforts, the Hamburg Sustainability Conference will take place on October 7-8. The conference will gather experts from across the world to discuss innovative strategies for achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to inaugurate the conference.
India will participate in the conference, with representation from both public and private sectors. Uwe Gehlen, Head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy in India, emphasized the significance of Germany's support in helping India achieve its renewable energy goals by 2030. He also highlighted the progress in the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership (GSDP) between Germany and India.
The conference will feature high-ranking participants and numerous thematic sessions, providing a platform to discuss new ideas, networks, and innovations crucial for accelerating SDG implementation. As part of the broader agenda, Chancellor Scholz will also visit India later in October to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations.
