Aero India 2025, the 15th installment of Asia's paramount aerospace and defense exhibition, is set to take place from February 10 to 14 at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. The Ministry of Defence has been emphasizing the event's theme, 'The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,' aiming to promote global partnerships, bolster domestic capabilities, and explore new avenues in the aerospace industry.
The exhibition's initial three days, February 10 to 12, are earmarked for business interactions, providing a collaborative platform for Indian and international companies. The concluding two days, February 13 and 14, will be open to the public, featuring spectacular aerial displays and static demonstrations of cutting-edge military equipment.
Key attractions include a curtain-raiser, inaugural ceremony, Defence Ministers' Conclave, CEOs' Round-Table, Manthan Start-up Event, along with exhilarating aerobatic performances. One of the main highlights, the Defence Ministers' Conclave themed 'BRIDGE - Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement,' aims to forge strategic partnerships centering on global resilience and cooperation amidst shifting geopolitical landscapes.
Bilateral engagements with dignitaries such as the Raksha Mantri, Raksha Rajya Mantri, and Chief of Defence Staff are anticipated to further cement defense relations and facilitate new alliances with partner nations. The India Pavilion will showcase the nation's dedication to the Make-in-India initiative, featuring indigenous defense manufacturing capabilities and pioneering technologies.
This pavilion will also highlight innovations from Indian start-ups, with a dedicated iDEX Pavilion exhibiting advanced products developed by entrepreneurs. The CEOs' Round-Table will convene global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), domestic public sector undertakings, and private sector leaders to examine investment prospects and discuss the future of aerospace manufacturing in India. Additionally, a series of informative seminars will address emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the aerospace sector.
With a legacy of 14 successful editions since its inception in 1996, Aero India remains an influential platform for partnerships and innovations. The 2023 event drew over 700,000 visitors, representatives from 98 nations, and 809 exhibitors, generating collaborations and announcements exceeding Rs 75,000 crore. Building on this success, Aero India 2025 aspires to achieve even greater feats, promising grander displays and groundbreaking collaborations. (ANI)
