India Gears Up for Inaugural WAVES Esports Championship 2025

The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) is gearing up to launch the qualifiers for the inaugural WAVES Esports Championship (WESC 2025). Set to start in September and run until January next year, the event will conclude with a grand finale in February.
WESC 2025, a prominent feature of the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), will showcase India's top gamers competing in popular titles like eFootball, WCC, and BGMI. The championship is designed to be gender-inclusive, featuring both team-based and individual competitions.
According to Vinod Tiwari, President of ESFI, initiatives like WAVES are crucial for the evolving esports scene in India. ''WESC 2025 is not just about winning; it's about nurturing a culture of excellence, innovation, and content creation in esports,'' he stated in a release.
