Devotees Flock to Ramdevra for Annual Mangala Aarti Fair

Scores of devotees participated in the Mangala Aarti, marking the start of the Ramdevra fair. The event commemorates the incarnation of Baba Ramdev, a folk deity. Notable attendees include MLA Mahant Pratap Puri and various district officials, who ensured extensive arrangements for the convenience and security of the devotees.

Scores of devotees flocked to Ramdevra town on Thursday morning to participate in the 'Mangala Aarti', an event that heralds the beginning of the annual fair.

The fair is held to honor Baba Ramdev, a venerated folk deity from western Rajasthan. On this occasion, a golden crown was placed on the deity's samadhi (resting place), with priest Kamal Kishore Changani performing the ceremonial abhishek using milk, curd, honey, fragrance, and panchamrit.

With lakhs of devotees expected to attend, authorities have organized extensive arrangements to ensure their comfort and safety. Dignitaries such as Pokhram MLA Mahant Pratap Puri, District Collector Pratap Singh, and District Superintendent of Police Sudhir Chaudhary also paid their respects to the deity. Afterward, they reviewed the arrangements and provided necessary instructions to the officials responsible for the fair's management.
