Honeywell has unveiled its latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Honeywell Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Sustainability Studies, with a primary focus on empowering women and youth through cutting-edge sustainability training. The inaugural event took place at Madurai Kamaraj University and attracted a host of distinguished attendees.

This ambitious program plans to establish Centers for Women Empowerment (CWE) and Centers for Youth Empowerment (CYE) across 10 colleges in Madurai and Delhi, aiming to train 500 underprivileged students with industry-endorsed certifications. Additionally, 20 faculty members will receive training to mentor these students. The project aims for a 60% employment rate for certified students, facilitated by job fairs and placement initiatives.

Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, the Minister for IT and Digital Services of Tamil Nadu, graced the event as Chief Guest. Other notable speakers included Srikanth V of ICT Academy and Dr. Niranjan Kalyandurg, President of Honeywell Technology Solutions, who highlighted the program's focus on sustainability and education. The event concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an interactive session between industry leaders and students.
