The Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), under the Ministry of Ayush, has reached a significant milestone by obtaining the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Integrated Management System (IMS) Certifications. This achievement underscores PCIM&H’s commitment to global excellence and sets a new benchmark for quality in Indian Medicine and Homeopathy.

PCIM&H has been awarded three prestigious certifications: IS/ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management System (QMS), IS/ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System (EMS), and IS/ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS). These certifications highlight the organization's dedication to maintaining high standards of quality, environmental responsibility, and workplace safety.

Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director of PCIM&H, expressed the importance of this achievement, stating, “This certification system will help PCIM&H enhance operational efficiency and meet global quality standards. PCIM&H is developing quality standards for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy (ASU&H) drugs in the form of Pharmacopoeia. The IMS certification will assure adherence to international acceptance of the pharmacopoeia standards developed by PCIM&H for ASU&H drugs.”

The Quality Management System certification affirms PCIM&H's ability to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations, while the Environmental Management System certification reflects the organization’s commitment to minimizing environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices. Additionally, the Occupational Health & Safety Management System certification demonstrates PCIM&H's proactive approach to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

These certifications not only boost PCIM&H's operational capabilities but also align with the Ministry of Ayush's broader mission to uphold and promote high standards in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy. The IMS certification further enhances PCIM&H's global recognition, positioning the institution as a leader in the field of traditional Indian medicine and homeopathy.
