Former Atlas Cycles President Salil Kapoor allegedly took his own life at his residence in Lutyens Delhi, police confirmed on Tuesday.
Discovered by his manager, Kapoor's body lay in a pool of blood near his puja room on Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Road. An accompanying note cited a 'financial burden' as a reason for his extreme action.
Kapoor's wife and three children were living separately, while he resided with his manager in the three-storey building. Rushed to a hospital, he was pronounced dead by doctors. Kapoor's history includes a 2015 arrest for financial cheating, and he is the second family member to die in that house under tragic circumstances, following his sister-in-law's suicide in 2020.
