In a tragic development, former president of Atlas Cycles, Salil Kapoor, was found dead by his manager at his residence in Lutyens' Delhi on Tuesday. The deceased was discovered with a bullet wound to the head, lying in a pool of blood near the puja room.

The police recovered a purported suicide note from the scene, which cited severe financial burdens and alleged harassment by four individuals as reasons for the apparent suicide. Investigations are underway with forensic and crime teams called in to examine the site.

Kapoor, who lived separately from his wife and children, was also arrested in 2015 by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police over cheating cases involving Rs 9 crore. He had faced legal troubles before, including a bounty announcement by the police during investigations in 2014.
