Libya's attorney general announced on Saturday the dismantling of a human trafficking network in the country's northwest, as reported by Libya's Al-Ahrar TV.
Authorities have arrested the network's leaders and 10 members, who have been implicated in severe crimes such as murder, illegal detention, torture, and rape of migrants.
Documented violations affecting 300 migrants include forced detention, torture, and extortion for their release, according to Al-Ahrar.
