Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar inaugurated a two-day international conference focused on 'Exploring the Life and Living Legacy of Guru Padmasambhava' at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara University in Nalanda.

Governor Arlekar highlighted Guru Padmasambhava's significant role in spreading Lord Buddha's teachings globally and stressed the importance of passing on Padmasambhava's teachings to future generations, emphasizing non-violence and peace.

The event, organized by the International Buddhist Confederation in collaboration with Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, featured prominent guests including Venerable Khenpo Chimed and Most Ven. Khenpo Ugyen Namgyel. The welcome address was delivered by Shartse Khensur Jangchup Choeden Rinpoche, secretary general of IBC, with additional remarks from Abhijit Halder, director general of IBC. The conference also included a short film screening titled 'Sacred Journey of Holy Relics from India to Thailand.'

Governor Arlekar presided over the release of a Hindi-Pali dictionary, edited by Professor Umashankar Vyas, while IBC officials highlighted Guru Rinpoche's pivotal role in establishing the Vajrayana tradition and his profound wisdom and compassion.
