Tragedy Strikes: Two Labourers Die in Madhya Pradesh Well Accident
Two labourers, Madan Singh and Devlal, died from suspected toxic gas inhalation inside a well in Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place in Jamudi village, Anuppur district, during farm work. Another individual who entered the well was rescued by women in the field. SDERF retrieved the bodies later.

In a tragic incident, two labourers lost their lives due to the suspected inhalation of toxic gas inside a well in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district on Sunday, according to police reports.
The mishap occurred in the early morning at Jamudi village, under the jurisdiction of the Kotwali police station. Labourers working on a farm encountered problems with motor pumps, prompting two men to enter the well. Kotwali police station in-charge Arvind Jain reported on the situation.
A third individual entered the well to check on his colleagues but began to feel unwell and shouted for help. Nearby women working in the field managed to rescue him using ropes. A team from the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) later recovered the bodies of the deceased, identified as Madan Singh (50) and Devlal (45).
