The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday initiated lie detection tests on former RG Kar Medical and Hospital principal Sandip Ghosh and five others, as part of its investigation into the rape-murder of a woman medic and alleged financial irregularities at the institute, according to officials.
The polygraph test for key accused Sanjay Roy was postponed due to technical issues, with a new date to be determined. The tests involve Ghosh, several interns, doctors, and an associate of Roy. Technical glitches delayed Roy's scheduled polygraph test, and a new date will be announced soon.
In addition to these tests, the CBI interrogated over 15 individuals, including 10 police officers and civic volunteers. The agency is also registering a case for alleged financial irregularities at RG Kar Medical College based on a directive from the Calcutta High Court.
