Telugu superstar Nani has voiced his concerns over the Hema Committee report, which highlights the alarming levels of women's exploitation in Malayalam cinema. Speaking to PTI, Nani stressed the importance of setting an example for appropriate behavior on movie sets.

The 233-page report, a first of its kind in India, exposes the power dynamics and systemic exploitation faced by women in the Malayalam film industry. The report was commissioned by the Kerala government following the 2017 assault case involving actor Dileep.

Expressing heartbreak over the findings, Nani noted that such incidents have not occurred on his sets. He remains optimistic that with the maturity and professionalism of new-generation actors, the industry will see positive changes.
