Actor Mammootty and the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) have denied the existence of any 'power group' in the Malayalam cinema world, as claimed by the Justice Hema Committee. In a Facebook post, Mammootty expressed full support for the committee's recommendations and urged the industry to stay vigilant.
Meanwhile, BJP chief J P Nadda criticized the Kerala government's delay in releasing the Hema Committee report, suggesting it was to protect CPI(M) leaders implicated in the findings. Nadda accused the Left government of hiding the report to shield their involved members.
The Women in Cinema Collective echoed the call for implementing the committee's recommendations to create a gender-just workplace. Amid these developments, actor Jayasurya, accused in two sexual harassment cases, denied any wrongdoing and promised to fight the allegations in court.
