Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, convened with a student delegation on Thursday to discuss the safety of Kashmiri students nationwide. The meeting took place at the Srinagar hotel where he was staying during his two-day visit to the Union Territory.
The delegation comprised students from multiple colleges and universities, representing the Jammu and Kashmir Students' Association. The group emphasized several student-centric issues predominantly affecting those from Jammu and Kashmir.
The dialogue was characterized as productive and encouraging by the association. Gandhi reaffirmed his commitment to support the students and pledged to bring their concerns to Parliament. He also reached out to the families and guardians of the students to discuss their well-being and academic progress.
