Taylor Swift will close the European leg of her record-breaking Eras tour in London on Tuesday, attracting fans from near and far for the final European show of the critically acclaimed tour. The U.S. singer-songwriter returned to London's Wembley Stadium last week for five performances following her Vienna shows' cancellation, which was due to a thwarted planned attack.

Some of the 195,000 disappointed fans from Vienna scrambled to secure tickets for the London dates via resale sites, where tickets were sold at up to ten times their original price. Eras is the first tour to surpass $1 billion in revenue and showcases all 11 of Swift's studio albums in dedicated sections. Swift's performance and the show's staging have received high praise from critics.

Fans arriving at Wembley, dressed in sequins, cowboy hats, and adorned with friendship bracelets for trading, faced stringent security measures. Despite British police stating that there was no indication the Vienna incident would affect the Wembley shows, there was a significant security presence at the stadium.

Authorities have also banned 'Tay-gating,' the practice of gathering outside Swift's shows without a ticket, as seen in Munich last month, to minimize potential risks outside the venue. Marie Wright, 48, from Limerick, Ireland, managed to get tickets on a resale site on Monday evening and flew to London on Tuesday with her daughter's best friend, 15-year-old Aoife McCarthy.

"She's leaving Europe, so we had to come for the last night," said McCarthy. "Her songs have real meaning, and there's a poetry to them," added Wright.

The tour returns to the United States in October and wraps up in Vancouver, Canada, in December.
