NEC Retracts Vision 2047 Document Over Migration Error

Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced that the North Eastern Council (NEC) retracted its Vision 2047 document due to an error indicating Kukis migrated from the 'Chin State of Manipur.' The error was highlighted by Singh and raised with DoNER minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia.

In a recent statement, Chief Minister N Biren Singh revealed that the North Eastern Council (NEC) has retracted its draft Vision 2047 document. The retraction followed an error in chapter 3, which falsely stated that the Kukis migrated from the 'Chin State of Manipur.'

Singh announced on social media that the error was flagged, and the issue was communicated to the DoNER minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia. As a result, the erroneous document was withdrawn.

The Chin state is located in neighboring Myanmar, which borders Manipur and Mizoram in India's northeastern region.
