The Telangana government has announced plans to establish 'Young India Sports University' as part of its effort to strengthen the region's sports ecosystem.

The university is expected to be located in either the existing sports school in Hakimpet or the sports complex in Gachibowli, according to an official release issued on Saturday.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who recently visited the Korean National Sports University in Seoul, aims to involve reputed universities as technical partners, positioning the new institution to train future Olympic champions.
