Foxconn Empowers Women in India with New Residential Complex

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu, on Saturday, stressed the invaluable contributions of married women to the company's workforce in India, noting they play a crucial role in its operations.
Speaking at the inauguration of a women-only residential complex in Tamil Nadu, Liu addressed recent discrimination allegations. He refuted claims that the company was averse to hiring married women, stating that 25% of new hires were married women, and highlighting the large proportion of women employees.
Liu emphasized the residential complex's role in providing peace of mind and reduced commutes for employees. He also highlighted Foxconn's commitment to sustainability, with initiatives like zero waste, zero liquid discharge technology, and rain harvesting being put into practice at the new facility.
