Vrindavan Widows Craft Rakhis for PM Modi

Widows in Vrindavan's shelter homes have crafted and sent 551 handmade rakhis to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This tradition, spearheaded by Sulabh International's founder Bindeshwari Pathak, aims to ensure that widows celebrate cultural festivals like others. In a heartwarming initiative, widows residing in shelter homes in Vrindavan have sent 551 handmade rakhis to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This ongoing tradition was initiated by Bindeshwari Pathak, founder of Sulabh International's Widow Help Programme, who believed that widows should partake in all cultural festivals, similar to other women.

The rakhis dispatched this year feature pictures of Lord Ram and Thakur Bankebihari, symbolizing the women's embrace of tradition and festivity.
