In a strong condemnation, Hindu seers criticized the ongoing violence against religious minorities in Bangladesh and urged the Indian government to relax immigration policies for persecuted Hindus. The sentiments were expressed at the Sant Sammelan organized by the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha in Ahmedabad.
A resolution was adopted to pressure the interim Bangladesh government to halt attacks on Hindu communities. Sharda Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati, who presided over the congregation, stressed the need for Hindu unity in the face of these assaults.
Leading figures, including Bharat Sadhu Samaj president Muktanand Swami, appealed to international organizations to intervene. The convention also highlighted the global risk if such violence continues and insisted on international and national action.
