A Mumbai bank has sealed a section of actor Rajpal Yadav's property located in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, due to his failure to repay a loan amounting to Rs 11 crore, confirmed an official on Wednesday.

Manish Verma, manager of the Shahjahanpur branch of Central Bank of India, revealed that the loan was taken by Yadav from the bank's Mumbai branch with his property in Shahjahanpur serving as collateral.

When approached for comments, Yadav declined to speak on the matter; however, sources indicated that a substantial loan was taken in 2005 for his production house, Navrang Godavari Entertainment Limited. The Mumbai bank sealed part of his house on August 8, but local police were not involved in the procedure, according to Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena.
