India's Olympic achievements have spurred a wave of online engagement. Following Neeraj Chopra's silver medal in javelin and the men's hockey team's bronze, the Paris Olympics website and app experienced a surge, attracting 273 million users, predominantly from India.

Christian Klaue, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Director at the International Olympic Committee, revealed these numbers on Friday. He attributed the spike to Neeraj Chopra's and the hockey team's medals, marking India's prominent digital presence in the quadrennial event.

Neeraj Chopra, having missed his second consecutive gold, secured silver behind Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem. Meanwhile, the men's hockey team, captained by Harmanpreet Singh, claimed their second straight bronze with a 2-1 victory over Spain. Additionally, the Olympics' WhatsApp channels gathered over five million followers within a month of their launch, becoming the fastest-growing channel for the organization.
