Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday heralded the Centre's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative as a mass movement that stirs a spirit of nationalism and patriotism, particularly among the younger generation.

Kicking off the campaign at August Kranti Maidan in south Mumbai on the 82nd anniversary of the Quit India movement, Shinde announced that the national flag would be hoisted atop 2.5 crore houses, offices, and commercial entities in the state. 'The Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, having started three years ago, has transformed into a mass movement that instills a sense of nationalism and patriotism among the youth,' Shinde stated.

The campaign began on Friday and will run until August 15, encouraging people to display the national flag at their homes and other establishments as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' effort.
