Actor Florence Pugh is back on the Marvel set with the upcoming movie 'Thunderbolts'. Expressing her excitement at San Diego Comic-Con, Pugh highlighted that the film has been meticulously crafted over the years. According to People, the Oscar nominee emphasized, "There would be no point in doing this story unless we did it properly."

She will reprise her role as Yelena Belova, the Russian Black Widow first introduced in Scarlett Johansson's 2021 film 'Black Widow'. Pugh joins an ensemble cast including Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. She expressed the importance of truthful character arcs, stating, "There'd be no point in letting these characters come together unless we actually spoke the truth about how they'd be feeling."

Though plot details remain confidential, 'Thunderbolts', directed by Jake Schreier, will feature a team of former villains turned superheroes. Pugh noted, "I feel like this is something that we've never seen before from Marvel. It's a very open, honest, and truthful idea."

Discussing her on-set experience, Pugh shared, "We can't stop laughing together because we genuinely had a wonderful time, and we've loved working with one another." David Harbour also praised Pugh, describing her as "electric to work with." He added, "This time, we got to explore different levels in their relationship. There's warmth and humour, but he's a terrible narcissist, and she's dedicated to killing people."

'Thunderbolts' is set for release in 2025. (ANI)
