Lady Gaga is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Earlier speculations about her appearance included co-performances with Celine Dion, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, and French singer Aya Nakamura. However, the full lineup remains undisclosed.

Speculations soared when Gaga and Dion were spotted arriving in Paris ahead of the Olympics. Gaga, a Grammy and Oscar-winning artist, was filmed waving to fans in the French capital. Currently, she's also busy filming 'Joker: Folie A Deux,' where she stars as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix, and headlining her Las Vegas residency show, Enigma + Jazz & Piano.

'Joker: Folie A Deux,' the sequel to the 2019 hit 'Joker,' is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 4, 2024, following its Venice Film Festival premiere. The original 'Joker' was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, earning 11 Oscar nominations and two wins. The sequel sees Phoenix return as Joker, with Lady Gaga joining as Harley Quinn. Todd Phillips directs again, co-writing the script with Scott Silver.

In this sequel, Gaga's Harley Quinn character will be distinct from Margot Robbie's version in 'Birds of Prey' and 'The Suicide Squad.' This marks Gaga's first televised performance since her Academy Awards appearance last year, where she sang 'Hold My Hand' from Top Gun: Maverick. The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
